Meniscus have released a new Real Time Energy Dashboard for use at Home or the Office.
This Silverlight Dashboard includes 8 graphs of which the user can select up to 4 at any one time. One graph displays a real time trend of electricity use for the last hour with data updated every minute. This makes it much easier to spot trends and to see what equipment is running when it could be turned off.
A raw data file is uploaded from a Current Cost clip on meter every minute with each file having 10 readings – so effectively we are displaying data every 6 seconds. The other 7 graphs include:
• Real Time graph - updates every minute. Displays up to 1 hour of data and can select one of three phases/channels or temperature.
• Raw data graph over the last 24 hours. Similar to the Real Time graph but does not update. There is a degree of filtering applied to reduce the volume of data.
• Historic graphs for aggregated half hour and daily consumption for each channel.
• Carbon equivalent
• Actual Cost and target cost savings
• Pie chart of daily electricity use - broken down into channels
• Benchmarks
The Meniscus Calculation Engine lies at the heart of the service and undertakes all the aggregation into half hourly and daily readings, as well as work out the actual/target costs, carbon equivalent and benchmarks as and when new data is received.
