The Games Workshop Head Office in Lenton has recently installed DANLERS passive infra-red occupancy switches and electronic time lag switches as part of its ‘Energy Efficiency Programme’.

Passive infra-red occupancy switches detect the movement of people in their vicinity and turn the load on and off accordingly. Each model in the DANLERS range includes a passive infra-red quad person detector, an adjustable time lag before switch off, an adjustable photocell override and a relay for switching up to 6 amps (1500W).

Time Lag switches turn off the load automatically after a time period has elapsed. Time lag switches in the DANLERS range have adjustable time lag settings which range from 1 minute to 2 hours and are easily adapted to suite different applications. Both types of switch save energy by ensuring loads are not left on unnecessarily; reducing the time loads are turned on for and the amount of energy being consumed.

A spokesperson for the company said; ‘We chose DANLERS products for this renovation because they are of a high quality, reliable and easy to install. They also present a good energy saving message across the business.’ Since installing the PIR’s and implementing other energy saving opportunities, Games Workshop has seen an overall saving across the building of £40,000.
